Meet Our Founder:

Rishabh Garg

Rishabh Garg, the founder of the Medical Club at North Hollywood High School, was driven by a passion for the medical field due to its profound impact on human life and the potential for research to improve treatments and healthcare. During his time at the school, he aimed to pursue a career as a physician-scientist, aspiring to advance cancer treatments and serve underrepresented communities.

Starting the Medical Club

In 2020, Rishabh's freshman year at North Hollywood High School began online. With a strong interest in the medical field, he eagerly searched for medical-focused clubs at our school, reaching out to teachers, students, and administrators. However, he couldn't find any clubs dedicated to medical careers or research; only volunteering clubs were available at the time.

The COVID-era was particularly challenging for him, as he not only struggled with adapting to online learning but also endured the loss of family members. It was a difficult time, and he realized he needed a supportive community to grow and cope with these changes. That realization led him to deep dive into the medical field and help him establish the Medical Club.

The process of bringing the Medical Club to life was incredibly fulfilling for him. Working closely with board members, they turned his vision into a reality.

Despite facing numerous challenges along the way, our community remained steadfast, continually striving to enhance and expand the Medical Club.
